Lampang – Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by Mr.Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President together with Mr.Seksan Daengsai, Head Coordinator for “Hao Hak Mon Praya Chae” project, organized a weir building activity to help restore Pha Thai Forest of Tham Pha Thai National Park in Lampang. Urassaya Yaya Sperbund, famous Thai actress and Bangkok Airways’ presenter, attended the event alongside the airline’s executives and volunteer. There were 140 participants attended the activity from various volunteer groups and agencies including; Hao Hak Mon Praya Chae club, Rajabhat University of Lampang and the Offices of Non-formal and Informal Education of Ngao and Huay Not districts. On this occasion, the airline received the honor from Mr.Somkiat Tantrakul, Lampang Deputy Governor and Mr.Praderm Dechayonbancha, Ngao Deputy District Chief for presence to the event.

The weir building project was organized for the third time this year following the two builds in early March and October 2017. The purpose of weir construction is to slow the flow of water from Huay Tham in Tham Pha Thai National Park, helping its forests and the communities to better utilize water resources. It also helps to prevent flooding in the area and flash flood to the communities in the lower area of the park which would benefit local villages and society as a whole.
